The Team

Saturn Global Foundation humbly presents it’s Team, together the team members have been in various fields of social and community service for several years. The responsibility of the Team Members involve a combination of research, personal interaction, solution development and maintenance of programs and services for economically weaker sections of the society.

The Team is led by Mr. Sanjay Vijaykumar, supported by Mr. A.J. Mathews and ably assisted by Ms. Haritha Sanil.

Sanjay Vijaykumar

Sanjay Vijayakumar is a first-generation technology entrepreneur who co-founded his first start-up MobME Wireless while in 3rd year of under graduate education at College of Engineering, Trivandrum.

Over a decade, MobME raised capital from angel investors and venture capital funds like Sequoiato build and exit three divisions-a fintech product called Chillr to Swedish technology company TrueCaller, a telecom business unit that was sold to One97, the parent of PayTM and one of India’s first crypto exchanges called Coinome to fintech enterprise Billdesk.

Along this journey, Sanjay also partnered with the Government of India and Government of Kerala to set up the nation’s first Public Private Partnership model tech incubator named Startup Village. Heco-authored the first startup policy in the country named the Kerala Startup Policy and served as Advisor to Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to setup respective state startup policies. The experience at the state level led to invitation from India’s Higher Education Regulator to co-author the National Student Startup Policy. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India has named Sanjay to the empowered committee for startup schemes.

At an international level, Sanjay is a member of the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum, setup jointly by the Embassy of the United States and Department of Science and Technology ,Government of India. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, a fortune 500 company reached out to Sanjay to be an advisor to help set up and execute their startup fund where he serves as governing board member. During the early days of the Covid19 pandemic, Sanjay reached out to the Chief Ministers Office (Kerala) and setup a global inter disciplinary team of over 300 professionals to build Corona Safe Network, an open-source disaster management solution for pandemic management.

In September 2021, the United Nations approved “Corona Safe’s the 50th Digital Public Good in the world and as a model solution for low- and middle-income countries to attain Sustainable Development Goals in healthcare. Sanjay is also a lead volunteer with the 10 bed ICU project setup by Aadhaar CTO Srikanth Nadham and to setup 3000 ICU beds in 300 rural

and remote districts in India. Sanjay is also a Rajeev Motwani Fellow, a scholar of Aspen Institute, a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and an Asia Society Fellow. India Today has rated Sanjay as one of the 37 Indians driving the future of India and he has been named to the Just30 Clubby Forbes.

Lever aging wide experiences in technology, social, education and policy, Sanjay setup Pupilfirst.org, an open-source technology startup with a mission to build tools for teachers and students to transform mainstream classroom education from lecture centered model to learner centered model, where he serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

A J Mathew

Having worked across many business sectors, he carries rich experience and is presently the COO of Saturn Global Foundation. The vision of the Board of Trustees at SGF and the mission charted by the Team is coordinated and implemented on a day today basis by him. He oversees the operations of the Trust to create healthy, educated and happy communities. He also works along with the donors of SGF to partner in the commitment of SGF to social causes

Haritha Sanil

It’s undeniable that the social worker role is changing. The basic structure of the social worker role is evolving to better address the needs of communities by supporting self-development and using technology to enable educational programs and Ms. Haritha is the new face in the changing social worker role. Her responsibility has begun to include becoming more connected online, more specialized and increasingly concerned with providing people educational programs and resources for the marginalized and working with and alongside communities for their self-led development. She is an alumni of TATA Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai and is a Rehabilitation Council of India license holder. She also went on to complete her PG Diploma in ‘Expressive Art Therapy’, specializing in Disability Studies and Action.
